*** Why can’t we buy a house for cheap and rehab it and sell it to a nice family in a War Zone or mostly rental area? One main reason is that there are not a lot of owner occupant buyers who want to buy houses in high rental areas. The second really big reason is that the majority of institutional lenders will not make loans under $50,000, so our war zones and high rental areas have prices under $50,000 and even if you are trying to sell for higher, they have to appraise for that higher price and that’s really tough.
