Happy New Year! SFC is ready to hit the ground running to get the Seller Finance Enhancement Act passed. With targeted Dodd-Frank relief being near the top of the Senate’s agenda for 2018, the time is now.
At the end of 2017, the Senate Banking Committee approved a bipartisan bill (S. 2155) from Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) that would free dozens of midsize lenders from being labeled as “systemically important financial institutions,” a tag the carries stricter oversight and capital requirements. The bill also provides a number of regulatory breaks for community banks, and now we need to make sure that our bill the Seller Finance Enhancement Act is included.
Please contact your Senator today by clicking the link below and let them know the importance of our bill. Let’s have 2018 be the year we Make Seller Financing Great Again!
