MAREI's Mission

The Missouri Association of Real Estate Inspectors (MAREI) is committed to meeting the challenge of helping safeguard the housing industry in Missouri, building a strong state economy, helping many Missouri families realize the American Dream of homeownership and therefore enhancing the quality of life for many Missouri families. Homeownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream and contributes to community responsibility, economic stability, family security and a better quality of life. We are deeply committed to helping Missouri families have a safe home and a quality living environment to live in and raise their family.

As Professional Inspectors we do this by acting as a neutral, unbiased, third party to the real estate transaction. Our duty is to inspect various systems and components and provide our clients (buyers/sellers/etc) with a clear picture of the visible condition of the property from which they can make an informed decision about buying, selling, etc.

As Professional Inspectors who actively assist Missouri families in their pursuit of the American Dream, MAREI Members serve a unique and important role in the states economy. We represent the lone statewide organization that is a verbal advocate, voice and protector of the homeowners in the State of Missouri. In many real estate transfers or transactions, the Professional Inspector is the ONLY party involved that does not have a vested financial interest in the outcome of the transaction.
